Medicinal Cannabis at Work exists because the collision between lawful prescriptions and workplace drug testing is decided, right now, by scattered law firm articles, vendor blogs and government PDFs — each written to sell something or written for nobody in particular.
What we do
We read the Fair Work Commission decisions, the WHS guidance and the Australian testing standards, and translate them into plain English for the two groups who actually need them: prescribed workers, and the employers whose policies they work under. We publish for both sides deliberately — the case law punishes whichever side understood the rules worse.
How content is verified
Every legal claim is checked against a primary source — the published decision, the legislation or the regulator’s own guidance — before it goes live, and pages carry a last-reviewed date. Case tracker entries marked “summary in review” have not yet completed that check. If we get something wrong, email us and we will correct it and note the correction.
What we are not
We are not lawyers, doctors or a testing provider, and we never answer individual “can they fire me” or “should I prescribe” questions — those answers depend on facts we cannot see. We link to people qualified to give them.
How the site is funded
Clearly-labelled placements from employment law firms and accredited testing providers, and our two paid toolkits. No placement buys editorial coverage, and we accept no money from medicinal cannabis product companies, clinics or prescribers.
